SUMO Speaker Series: The SUMO Speaker Series continues this quarter on Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:15 (note the time change), in room 380C (in the basement). Food is provided from Pizza Chicago. All talks will be accessible to freshmen in the 50-series. See the talk schedule here.
Save the date: The 2009 Stanford Math Tournament is very tentatively scheduled for February 28th, 2009. For more information, please visit the SMT page, or e-mail silasj at stanford dot edu. Invitations will be sent out, and online registration will open, when the date is finalized.

Finally, we'll be running a few events for Mathleague.org this year. Mathleague.org is a high school league in several regions that will be expanding into the Bay Area this year.
